Straight answers.
Everything here restates what the rest of the site already says - if an answer ever disagrees with a page, tell us and we will fix one of them.
Getting started
Is the platform live?
Not yet - it is in development, and this site says so wherever it matters. The waitlist is real: join it on the homepage and you will get one email when doors open. Joining costs nothing and asks for nothing but an email address.
Do I need any crypto or finance background?
No. The tracks are ordered so that the first courses assume zero prior crypto, finance, or technical knowledge. If you have never opened a wallet, you are exactly who the first course was written for.
What language are the classes in?
Classes are in English. This website is English only.
Courses and the subscription
What does it cost?
Final pricing is announced at launch. One subscription unlocks every course on the platform, and waitlist members hear the number first - join on the homepage.
How are the courses structured?
Each track is short courses of video classes, taken in order - watch, pause, rewatch, at your pace. Every track drives toward simulations where you practice the decisions with fake money. The full catalog is on the courses page.
Will I be able to cancel?
Any time. Access will run to the end of the paid period, and certificates you have earned remain yours - they are written to permanent storage precisely so they outlive your subscription.
Who teaches?
Working practitioners - people who trade, manage money, or ship production code for a living, with names and photographs on the about page. Nobody here teaches a market they have only read about.
PUSDT and PXL
What is PUSDT?
Prepaid platform credit - the same model as a Steam Wallet or a Roblox balance. You top up 1:1 with USDT and spend it on the platform. It is credit, not a coin: it has no price, cannot appreciate, and never leaves Pixel Academy. If you want your remaining credit back, conversion is processed manually by our team with a 5% processing fee.
What is PXL?
Pixel Academy's fixed-supply token. Nobody earns PXL on the platform - no course, game, or promotion pays it out. It can only be bought from an existing holder on our OTC orderbook, and only after you pass a knowledge quiz. Buying it is not an investment in Pixel Academy, and we make no representation about its future value. The full plain statement is on the $PXL page.
Will I earn crypto by learning here?
No. Nothing on the platform pays out tokens for watching, playing, or completing anything. Simulations use fake money by design. Schools that promise you will earn while you learn are the industry this one was built against.
Certificates
What do I get when I finish a course?
A certificate that is cryptographically signed and written to Arweave - permanent storage built to hold data for 200+ years. It is independently verifiable and does not depend on our server staying up, or on us staying in business.
Is the certificate recognized anywhere?
It states that you completed the course, verifiably and permanently - that is what we can promise. It is not a professional license, and we do not guarantee any third party will recognize it. Pixel Academy is a Patron Member of AmCham Georgia, and we are the first academy in Georgia to issue certificates this way.
Simulations
What are the simulations?
Practice environments where you act with fake money and live with the consequence - a mistake costs you nothing but a laugh, and the lesson stays. They exist because deciding is learning and watching is not. The full argument is on the simulations page.
Can I win real money in a simulation?
No. Simulations use fake money by design, and nothing inside a game converts into a real-money claim. That is what makes them a safe place to fail.
